WHEEL SISTERS: How did you get introduced to motorsport?

At first, I was working as a Race queen.

While watching motorsports nearby. Now I want to try it myself.

WHEEL SISTERS: Can you please describe your motorsport milestones so far?

To convey that not only men but also women and children can enjoy motorsports.

WHEEL SISTERS: What does the motorsport landscape look like in Japan? What are the most popular disciplines (Motocross, Formula, Kart, Rally, Drift)?

I think the number of women participating in motorsports has increased significantly compared to a dozen years ago. Popular fields are Super GT. It has long been wildly popular because it is similar to the cars that people usually drive.

WHEEL SISTERS: What has had the biggest impact on improving your racing skills?

My encounter with the TV anime “Initial D”

WHEEL SISTERS: What was the most impressive moment of your career so far?

In an endurance race I participated in in Thailand, I was prepared to retire due to machine damage and other problems, but the team's mechanics did their best to repair the car, and I was able to start running again at the very end and safely cross the checkered flag. I was impressed when I received it.

WHEEL SISTERS: What does motorsport give you personally?

A sense of unity and stimulation with everyone on the team

WHEEL SISTERS: Wat does a normal working week look like for you?

Motorsports on the weekends. Weekdays are spend doing other work.

WHEEL SISTERS: What is important for girls who wants to get into motorsport?

I think it's important to find friends who like motorsports and to not give up because it's impossible for girls and to not lose the desire to take on the challenge.

WHEEL SISTERS: How many girls are involved in motorsport in Japan? There is a huge drift, tuning community, right?

There may not be 100 people, but I think there are more than 50 people. The drift world is booming, but the formula world is also booming.

WHEEL SISTERS: Have you experienced any sexism during races and, if so, how did you deal with it?

Boys think “I don't want to lose to a girl!” There are times when they attack with that kind of spirit, but basically I'm thinking of focusing on the racing competition regardless of gender. On the other hand, I have fond memories of participating in races overseas and being treated with respect as a woman, making me happy. When I overtook him, he politely and safely let me out, and when I overtook him, he raised his hand to greet me and then turned on his hazard lights to greet me, so he was very gentlemanly.

WHEEL SISTERS: What are your sporting goals in the upcoming months or years?

Until now, I have been mainly active in racing karts, car endurance races, and rallies. In the future, I will also try radio control and drones.

We would like to expand the range of motorsports activities that can be enjoyed by both adults and children, regardless of gender. I'm currently trying out radio controls and drones this year.
